Transporter PRN

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will perform duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. You will also provide general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. You will report to the shift supervisor.

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and offer assistance to customers throughout the hospital.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.

Qualifications

You will need:

• A High School Diploma or GED.
