About the role
Transports patients within St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic.
Responsibilities
- Transports patients on stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated areas within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.
- Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel.
- Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques.
- Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number.
- Keeps incident log of transports.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CPR Certification issued by AHA
- Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed in onboarding if offered the position)
