Transporter - Part-Time - Days
Location: Flushing, New York
About the role
At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, our Transporters play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment for patients and their families. From warm greetings to attentive service, you’ll be a key part of the patient experience—helping ensure comfort, dignity, and care every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients throughout the hospital with courtesy and care
- Respond promptly and politely to patient needs and questions
- Build meaningful connections with patients and families
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure patient safety
- Transport medical records, lab specimens, equipment, and more
- Change O2 tanks and apply O2 regulators as needed
- Basic clerical skills for logging patient names and destinations
- Planning skills to efficiently route patient transports
Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong customer service background
- Experience in hospitality or healthcare environments

Note: This position requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
Schedule
Part-Time Evening Shift: 8:00 am - 12:00 PM
Days/Week: Monday - Friday
Holidays: Required
Pay
Salary Range: $24.94-$26.83/Hourly
