Job Essentials

• Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital.
• Ensure patient, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during transport.
• Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems.
• Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and department.
• Operate stretcher, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely.
• Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use.
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other departments.
• Follow all infection control protocols.
• Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Pay

The minimum rate of pay for this position is $16.50 per hour, subject to a variety of factors including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. Additional compensation such as bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and other forms of compensation may apply.
