About the Role

Under the direction of Director of Imaging Services and/or Manager of Imaging Services, Lead Transporter, professional and technical staff; the Transporter is responsible for the transfer and transport of patients both intra-hospital, intra-campus, and between the ancillary services.

Responsibilities

• Transfer and transport patients within the hospital, campus, and between ancillary services
• Push patients in wheelchairs and gurneys
• Assist with moving patients
• Communicate effectively with other departments and directors
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Use basic computer skills
• Delegate tasks as needed

Requirements

• Physically fit
• Solid communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Credibility amongst staff, both within and outside of the department
• Current BLS provider card
• Management Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification
• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Hospital experience preferred

Pay

Opening pay range: $23.00 to $27.41 per hour.
