About the role

As a Transporter, you will perform duties directly involved with transporting patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, and/or beds to and from assigned departments. You will provide general assistance to areas of the assigned department as needed and report to the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Greet and offer assistance to customers throughout the hospital.
• Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.

Requirements

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Previous Transporter experience preferred.

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is a 417-bed acute care facility located in west Miami-Dade County. Our services include trauma, burn, surgical, women’s and children’s services, behavioral health, and diagnostic services. We operate two full-service free-standing ER facilities.
