Job Description
Parsons is hiring a Utility Engineer/Coordinator to support transportation infrastructure projects across the East Central Region, including Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia. The ideal candidate will have experience in highway utility coordination, DOT utility processes, and/or technical writing related to utility work.
- Evaluate utility impacts
- Support utility conflict analysis
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, utility owners, and public agencies
- Coordinate relocations
- Maintain utility documentation
- Contribute to utility manuals, training programs, and research initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required (or other related certifications)
- Experience in utility coordination, utility engineering, utility relocation, or related transportation work
- Highway or DOT project experience preferred
- INDOT Certified Utility Coordinator, or ability to obtain certification
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience with technical writing for utility procedures, manuals, or training
- Familiarity with MicroStation and engineering software
