Transportation Support Staff – School Pickup & Drop-Off (Part-Time)
We are looking for Transportation Support Staff to join our childcare program, providing safe and welcoming school transportation for local youth. This part-time role is perfect for retirees or individuals seeking a consistent schedule with meaningful community impact.
About the role
As a Transportation Support Staff member, you will drive a 10-passenger van for before and/or after-school routes (no CDL required). You will assist the child care program director in ensuring a positive experience for all children, providing proper supervision by seeing, hearing, directing, and assessing them. You will act as a role model at all times and drive safely, obeying traffic signs and prioritizing the safety of the children in your care.
Responsibilities
- Drive a 10-passenger van for school pickup and drop-off routes
- Provide proper supervision and ensure the safety of children during transport
- Assist the child care program director in creating a positive experience for children
- Act as a role model for children at all times
- Obey traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check and physical
- Negative TB test
- Patient, calm demeanor, especially under stress
- Enjoyment of working with children
Schedule
Part-time, Monday through Friday.
Pay
$10.98 - $13.73 per hour.
