Transportation Support Staff – School Pickup & Drop-Off (Part-Time)

We are looking for Transportation Support Staff to join our childcare program, providing safe and welcoming school transportation for local youth. This part-time role is perfect for retirees or individuals seeking a consistent schedule with meaningful community impact.

About the role

As a Transportation Support Staff member, you will drive a 10-passenger van for before and/or after-school routes (no CDL required). You will assist the child care program director in ensuring a positive experience for all children, providing proper supervision by seeing, hearing, directing, and assessing them. You will act as a role model at all times and drive safely, obeying traffic signs and prioritizing the safety of the children in your care.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 10-passenger van for school pickup and drop-off routes
• Provide proper supervision and ensure the safety of children during transport
• Assist the child care program director in creating a positive experience for children
• Act as a role model for children at all times
• Obey traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and physical
• Negative TB test
• Patient, calm demeanor, especially under stress
• Enjoyment of working with children

Schedule

Part-time, Monday through Friday.

Pay

$10.98 - $13.73 per hour.
