Duties And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and compile reports for backhauls, fleet for hire, mixing center, and transfers for Inbound Scheduling Network as needed.
  • Obtain trailer numbers from suppliers to key for backhauls in Yard Management Services prior to arrival at Distribution Center.
  • Check CAMS/Prospero for unplanned orders and CAMS/Prospero for failed loads. Key in late into CAMS/Prospero by end of business day for next day reporting prior to 9am.
  • Set up daily load sheet. Assign Purchase Order Numbers to the 900 routes going out of the warehouse.
  • Deadhead backhauls from the CAMS/Prospero board for the next day. Communicate with other Distribution Center's for next day receipts/deliveries.
  • Backhaul late tracking to original due date. Check for any "early" produce Purchase Orders' and notify buyer. Start next day Purchase Order's. Ensure multiple Distribution Center loads are separated and assigned.
  • Add backhauls off stores when loads are in CAMS/Prospero. Run and review the Backhaul Imbalance Report used to forecast loads.
  • Handle phone calls from store personnel, vendors, and other partnerships regarding service issues & special requests. Serve in dispatch and payroll roles as needed.
  • Perform daily dispatch audits to ensure fairness with driver miles and load routes. Responsible for processing driver payroll as needed.
  • Evaluate coordination of loads to ensure efficient and timely loads deliveries to our stores.
  • CAMS/Prospero Loads: Monitor board and secure profitable/acceptable for hire loads. Coordinate Purchase Order's off CAMS/Prospero. Update load board during transport. Provide required documents to broker for payment. Accurate record keeping for costs, loads, reporting, etc..

Qualifications

  • Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e., cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
  • Familiarity/experience in a transportation environment.
  • Knowledge of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations along with Transportation Logistics.
  • College degree or equivalent work experience and/or training in the transportation industry.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, etc.....
