Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire Your Team
  • Coach, develop, and hold associates accountable through performance planning, feedback, and recognition.
  • Develop Talent
  • Aid with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing new and existing associates to build a high-performing team.
  • Drive Operational Excellence
  • Partner with Receiving, Shipping, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely product flow in and out of the distribution center.
  • Optimize Staffing & Productivity
  • Maintain daily staffing levels, assign labor management tasks, and adjust resources to meet production demands.
  • Ensure Safety, Accuracy & Compliance
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Communicate and administer corrective action when necessary.
  • Lead Communication & Collaboration
  • Hold departmental meetings, communicate shift updates, and coordinate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement
  • Identify waste and inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and act as a "change agent" for lean practices.
  • Help foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Support Business Goals
  • Provide accurate reports and insights to the Distribution Center Leadership Team.
  • Project & Process Leadership
  • Lead assigned projects and tasks, and recommend modifications to procedures or workflows that increase efficiency, productivity, and cost savings.

Qualifications

  • Experience 1-3 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
  • Prior experience supervising or leading teams (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Certified on powered industrial equipment, where applicable
  • Familiarity with distribution center operations
  • Basic understanding of business and financial reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to align teams with departmental and business goals
  • Flexibility to work required schedules and shifts
  • Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -5°F to 90°F+
