What You'll Do
- Lead and manage transportation and structural engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and Project Management Plans.
- Cook up multidisciplinary engineering teams and subconsultants.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project financial performance, budgets, change orders, and additional service requests.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Build long-term client relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present project updates, progress reports, and executive presentations.
- Participate in project financial reviews and resource planning.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, interviews, and Go/No-Go decisions.
- Mentor and coach engineers through regular one-on-one meetings, project reviews, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 10+ years of engineering and engineering project management experience
- Strong experience managing transportation or structural engineering projects
- Excellent project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and multidisciplinary project teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience working with state DOTs, counties, municipalities, or other public-sector transportation agencies
- Experience with multiple delivery methods, including: Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships (P3)
- Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
