Transportation Shift Supervisor - Night Shift

Duties And Responsibilities

• Affiliate with administrative duties, including but not limited to payroll, PUC reporting, fuel usage tracking and routing.
• Supervise Delivery Specialists, conduct timely performance reviews and hold regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Aid in training new Delivery Specialists through the use of PJ Food Service SOP Manual.
• This may include facilitating training routes, assisting in unloading product, coaching proper product handling and training proper paperwork procedures, DOT logbooks, alarm and key procedures.
• Affiliate in daily activities of transportation team, including but not limited to backhauling and moving equipment between the Quality Control Center or equipment vendors and other suppliers as necessary.
• Afford the Transportation Manager in managing fleet and equipment repair and regular maintenance through the service provider.
• Ensure equipment availability or source rental equipment.
• Interact with and assist other departments to accomplish efficient and timely delivery.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and good driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).

Qualifications

Experience in transportation or logistics preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

Customer service orientation. Leadership and supervisory skills. Knowledge of transportation and logistics principles. Familiarity with DOT regulations.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend work required.
