Transportation Senior Project Manager

About the role
We are actively seeking a Transportation Senior Project Manager to join our Chipley office supporting the FDOT D3 General Engineering Consultant (GEC) contract. The Senior Project Manager will serve as GEC Project Manager on active FDOT D3 Design Projects and as the Functional Manager supporting FDOT D3 Operations (Construction, Maintenance, Traffic Ops, and Materials). The ideal candidate has extensive experience and relationships with FDOT.
Responsibilities
- GEC Project Management of active FDOT D3 Design Projects
- Functional Manager overseeing GEC support of FDOT D3 Transportation Operations
- Prepare standard scope of services for design projects
- Prepare Long Range Estimates (LREs) for candidate projects
- Oversee development of conceptual designs for candidate Traffic Operations projects (turn lane additions, signalization, and traffic safety improvements)
- Provide Constructability Reviews for FDOT D3 on assigned projects
- Provide contract time calculations for assigned projects
- Coordinate Verification Testing assignments with subconsultants
- Other duties as assigned; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- Professional Engineering License in Florida (required)
- Minimum of 15 years of experience working on projects for FDOT (can include PD&E, Planning, Design, CEI, Maintenance, etc.)
- Strong verbal and writing skills
- Comfort working independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
