Transportation Security Officer : Unarmed

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring a Transportation Security Officer : Unarmed. This role involves providing high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism. Responsibilities include conducting patrols, greeting guests, responding to alarms, and assessing security breaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

Requirements

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following: Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site, Prior military experience, Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, Exceptional customer service skills, Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Pay

$19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
