Transportation Project Manager

Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead design projects in our Southeast Region in our Tampa, FL office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordination and oversight of roadway design projects and roadway design staff. To be considered for this position, applicants musthave, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. What You’ll Be Doing Provide plan review and project management for Volkert clients in the Southeast region (FL-GA)Responsible for organizing activities, schedules, and reporting in support of assigned projectsPrepare, issue and track project documentation such as contracts, change orders, client sign-off, etc. for all phases of assigned project workPrepare correspondence and documents with clients, vendors and regulatory agencies as requiredPrepare invoices and purchase orders; and communicate with outside resources when neededPreparing and/or editing meeting minutes and presentationsPrepare project submittals and bidding activitiesLead a project team Support our team and client by providing technical and administrative support Market new and existing clients (FDOT D1, D7, FTE and local municipalities)Interacting with clients and the public related to your work and understanding the context of the plans you developLead the development of project designs and direct designers to successfully execute and deliver project work, while implementing client focused strategiesAspiring to work in a team environment and participating in business development efforts and meetings with clients. Working as part of a team to deliver a range of transportation and civil design projectsIdentifying and analyzing problems using reasoning to arrive at sound engineering conclusionsAdhering to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual What You Need To Have BS degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience At least five (5) years of progressive responsibility within the industryFDOT roadway design experience. Experience in FDOT design methods, plan preparation, standards, and specifications.Proficient with MicroStation, experience with OpenRoads DesignerPE is requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
