Position Summary

Rowe is seeking a Roadway Project Manager to join their team. This position will work on a diverse range of projects, providing leadership to a variety of staff with different levels of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects primarily for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
  • Directing and performing engineering tasks, providing quality control, and producing project deliverables.
  • Managing project teams, schedules, and budgets for various projects.
  • Developing and executing work plans for completing assigned tasks and projects.
  • Applying specialized technical expertise on a broad range of design tasks relating to transportation projects.
  • Aiding Senior Project Managers or other Project Managers in developing work scopes, budgets, and staff assignments.
  • Maintaining project records and documentation.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of MDOT design technology, practices, and procedures.
  • Providing direction, supervision, and training to junior staff.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering.
  • Michigan Professional Engineer License.
  • Minimum of 10 years of MDOT design experience.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical/judgment capabilities, and ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Ability to work remotely and in person effectively.
