Transportation Project Manager

About the role

The Civil Project Manager, Transportation will play a key role in shaping transportation infrastructure throughout the region, balancing project delivery, client management, business development, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading transportation, roadway, drainage, and sewer infrastructure projects from planning and design through delivery.
• Managing project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality control to ensure successful project execution.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work.
• Overseeing and mentoring engineering staff, providing technical guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support.
• Preparing technical proposals, scopes of work, qualification packages, and participating in client interviews and presentations.
• Coinciding resources across multiple project teams and collaborating with company leadership to meet project and business objectives.
• Supporting contract negotiations, reviewing project invoicing, managing scope changes, and ensuring projects are delivered profitably.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation engineering, roadway design, drainage systems, and municipal infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated success managing multidisciplinary engineering projects, including budget, schedule, and client expectations.
• Strong understanding of roadway design principles, geometric design, alternative delivery methods, and the full project lifecycle from concept through final design.
• Experience preparing proposals, developing pursuit strategies, and successfully winning new work.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills with clients, public agencies, and internal teams.

Qualifications
