Transportation Project Engineer

Duties

• Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
• Affords assistance to Project Managers with business development activities, including meetings with clients
• Assists with preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
• 0-3 years of progressive transportation design experience
• PE is expected to be obtained
• Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects
• Experience with Microstation / AutoCAD
• Inroads experience a plus
• General knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and standards
• Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills

Technical expertise in transportation and/or highway engineering

Pay

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
