Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related to a variety of transportation projects.
  • Mentor and supervise the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.
  • Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design.
  • Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs or to develop applications.
  • Compile and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
  • Support studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals.
  • Contribute to proposal development.
  • Manage small projects and project tasks and assist Project Managers in overall large project delivery.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required.
  • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred).
  • Project experience in transportation engineering design (preferred).
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.).
  • Proficient at using Microstation Open Roads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D design software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A flexible hybrid work schedule with the option to sit out of our offices in Omaha, NE, Bellevue, NE, Lincoln, NE, or Grand Island, NE.
