Transportation Project Accountant 2
for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Include only sections with real specific content.
We need to parse the posting: It includes a lot of narrative about HDR, role description, responsibilities list, qualifications, preferred qualifications, required qualifications, benefits, pay range, schedule (Full-time), location, etc.
We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate: EEO, legal, navigation, etc. Also remove duplicated lines.
We need to preserve all substantive information.
We need to decide sections:
- About the role: Could include the introductory paragraph about HDR and the role description (the narrative before responsibilities). Might be appropriate.
- Responsibilities: The list of duties after "In the role of Project Accountant 2, we'll count on you to:" includes many bullet-like items separated by line breaks. We'll turn into - .
- Requirements: Could combine required qualifications? The posting has "Preferred Qualifications" and "Required Qualifications". We could put Required Qualifications under Requirements, and Preferred Qualifications under Skills? Or we could have Requirements (required) and Qualifications (preferred). The instruction says use headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we need to map content accordingly.
We have:
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience; minimum 5 years experience; advanced degree may offset years; Familiar with Earned Value Management; Excellent verbal and written communication; Flexibility and ability to prioritize; Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented; Ability to handle confidential information; Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook; Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of employee-owned culture.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Experience supervising other financial professionals beneficial; Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements.
- Skills: Could be derived from required qualifications: communication, MS Office, etc. But we already have them in Required Qualifications. Might put them under Skills.
- Benefits: The paragraph about comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonus, tuition reimbursement. Also note about temporary/part-time limited benefits.
- Pay: The expected compensation range $71,000 - $105,000.
- Schedule: Full-time.
- Location: Could be included maybe under About the role? Not a heading. Could be omitted as not required heading. But we might include location in About the role paragraph.
We must not create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual content.
We need to ensure we don't repeat content unnecessarily.
Let's craft:

Qualifications: Could be Preferred Qualifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience supervising other financial professionals beneficial
- Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements
Skills: Could be derived from required qualifications but we already have them. Maybe we can put communication, MS Office, etc. But to avoid duplication, maybe we can put Skills as a summary of key competencies: communication, MS Office, detail-oriented, etc. However we already listed them under Requirements. The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine Requirements and Qualifications into one? But we have headings list; we can omit Skills if no specific content beyond what's already covered. However we need to decide: The posting includes "Excellent verbal and written communication..." etc. Those are skills. Could put them under Skills. But then Requirements would be just education/experience. Let's think.
We have Required Qualifications includes education/experience, EVM, communication, flexibility, self-motivated, confidential info, MS Office, employee-owned culture attitude.
Preferred Qualifications includes Bachelor's degree, supervising experience, prevailing wage.
We could map:
- Requirements: education/experience (Associate degree, 5 years experience, advanced degree offset)
- Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications (Bachelor's degree, supervising experience, prevailing wage)
- Skills: communication, EVM, MS Office, detail-oriented, etc.
But we need to avoid duplication. Let's decide:
Requirements (education/experience):
- Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience; an advanced degree may offset years of experience
Qualifications (preferred):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience supervising other financial professionals beneficial
- Familiarity with prevailing wage requirements
Skills:
- Familiar with Earned Value Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and collaborate with various managers in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
That seems reasonable and non-duplicative.

(Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
Pay:
Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $105,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
Schedule:
Schedule
Full-time
We could also include location but not required heading. Could add a paragraph under About the role about locations. But we already have About the role long; we could add a sentence: "Primary location: Long Beach, CA; other locations include Los Angeles, Rancho Cucamonga, Irvine, Riverside." But we need to preserve all substantive information. The posting includes location details. We should include them somewhere. Perhaps add a under About the role after the intro: "Primary Location: United States-California-Long Beach. Other Locations: United States-California-Los Angeles, United States-California-Rancho Cucamonga, United States-California-Irvine, United States-California-Riverside." Or we could make a separate section "Location" but not in allowed headings. So we incorporate into About the role.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO, navigation, legal, etc. Remove the final paragraphs about EEO and commitment.
Now ensure we didn't repeat job title. Not used.
