Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Project Managers and Professional Engineers to provide engineering support.
- Utilize great communication and teamwork to track information and assist with the design of infrastructure improvements.
- Create design deliverables that meet UDOT and/or municipal codes and requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and project success by adhering to the QA/QC review process.
- Work with government agencies, city planners, and construction teams to align design objectives with community needs and regulatory standards.
- Develop and optimize roadways, intersections, transit systems, and other transportation infrastructure using CAD software.
- Analyze data on vehicle flow, pedestrian movement, and accident reports to enhance transportation safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- A Professional Engineering License, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
- A completed civil engineering degree, preferably with an emphasis on Transportation.
- Solid analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with all levels of personnel, including leadership, as well as clients.
- Eagerness to work and thrive in a team environment.
- Willingness to be a team player and contribute to addressing project needs.
- Prior experience with drafting or design with MicroStation or OpenRoads in fields of transportation engineering would be preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, BlueBeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Capacity to work under pressure to meet client-imposed project deadlines.

- Experience working with the Utah Department of Transportation and good knowledge of standards and requirements.

Pay
$70,000-$100,000+ per year, or competitive with the market based on experience
Schedule
Full-time, Monday to Friday, no weekends
