About the role

McKee Foods is seeking a Parts Clerk to join our Transportation team. Performs clerical duties in support of truck garage warranty claims and parts inventory.

• Accurately maintains the bulk fuel inventory system
• Files and documents all warranty claims
• Ensures supplies of bulk oil, windshield cleaner, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), chassis lube, gear lube, and antifreeze are maintained
• Verifies weekly tire inventory and orders tires as needed
• Contacts vendors to determine part information, price, and availability
• Tracks delivery information for ordered parts
• Checks in delivered parts and bins them as needed
• Tracks warranty parts, time held, and returns to vendor or scraps as needed
• Demonstrates workplace behavior consistent with company policies and values
• Other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements

• One year parts clerk experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Self-motivated and customer service oriented
• Knowledgeable in using Windows, Word, and basic spreadsheet software
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to promote continuous process improvement and LEAN principles
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator license
• DMV Record must be obtained by the Safety Department
• Lift Truck vision screen must be completed by Employee Health Services and must meet Lift Truck standards

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of warranty claims experience
• Previous OPM and Maximo experience
• Previous experience in a truck garage or transportation environment

Pay

The pay range is $19.62/hr. to $24.80/hr.

Schedule

1st Shift Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (Other hours and days as needed)
