Transportation Mechanic 2nd Class 1st 2 years

NSG, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Transportation Mechanic at our Mundelein location.

Schedule

• Regular shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Training period shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper repair and maintenance of company vehicles, tools, and equipment by performing preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and servicing
• Perform machining operations, critical welding, tire and wheel assembly maintenance, and repairs
• Record all maintenance and repairs in the current Fleet CMMS system
• Procure necessary parts per current company procedures and policies
• Clean vehicles
• Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned
• Report to assigned group general Supervisor

Requirements

• 1+ years of automotive maintenance experience
• 1+ years of basic PC skills
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire, including proper endorsements and medical certification

Preferred: Technical Degree

Pay

The pay range for this position is $44.75 – $47.71 per hour. The starting salary within this range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business needs.
