Transportation Manager- Sourcing & Operations

The Transportation Manager- Sourcing & Operations role is crucial for managing Tropicana Brands Group's carrier network, ensuring reliable service at competitive cost, and optimizing transportation cost structure.

• Support sourcing strategies: Oversee or support carrier Request for Proposals (RFPs), rate negotiations, and contract development.
• Optimize carrier mix: Identify opportunities to refine carrier mix, network coverage, and transportation cost structure.
• Manage relationships: Directly manage relationships with transportation providers, monitor carrier performance, and work with providers to enhance service, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Market intelligence: Track transportation market trends, carrier capacity, and fuel dynamics; analyze transportation spend and rate trends to identify cost and performance opportunities.
• Continuous improvement: Stay informed about day-to-day transportation activity to align strategies with network needs; resolve service challenges, capacity constraints, and network inefficiencies; and identify opportunities for performance improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-8 years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Experience working with transportation providers, suppliers, or logistics networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in market dynamics, negotiations, and supplier strategy.
• A mindset focused on learning, continuous improvement, and long-term growth in supply chain leadership.
