Responsibilities

  • Regional Service Provider Management: Monitor the performance of Transport Service Providers (3PLs/Integrators) within the region. Conduct performance reviews to ensure local adherence to global SLAs, costs, and quality standards, acting as the "boots on the ground" for our global carrier strategy.
  • Operational Performance & Governance: Oversee the high-level execution of shipments originating from or destined for EMEA sites. Serve as the escalation point and controller (not a dispatcher), ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations (e.g., EU customs, Brexit requirements).
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management: Act as the dedicated Transport Partner for regional Sales, Customer Order Desk, and Warehouse Operations teams in the US. Translate local needs into logistics solutions while aligning with global governance.
  • Specialized Logistics Solutions: Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex flows, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) and project cargo, ensuring swift resolution of operational hurdles.
  • Project Representation: Represent the region in global transport projects. Ensure regional requirements are considered in global network designs and share best practices with counterparts in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in transportation management, freight forwarding, or logistics management.
  • CPL (Certified Logistics Professional) and CTL (Certified in Transportation and Logistics) preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record within the transportation environment.
  • Project Management expertise and experience working with external service providers.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex logistics issues to non-logistics stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Onsite or remote: 80% onsite / 20% remote.
  • Vision: Able to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings (100%).
  • Hearing: Able to hear conversations in person and via teleconference/phone, and to hear safety warnings or alarms on the production floor (100%).
  • Speaking: Able to participate in conversations, meetings, and communications (100%).
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, copiers) and some production tools (e.g., hydraulic lifts) (100%).
  • Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg (100%).
  • Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg (100%).
  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment/tools (100%).
  • Sitting: Able to sit for long periods during meetings or computer work (100%).
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving (100%).
  • Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor (100%).
  • Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice (10%).
  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces (100%).
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Steel-toed shoes required for shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required.

Pay

$80,000 – $95,000 annually. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
