About the role
The Customer Logistics Manager, also internally titled as Transportation Manager, is a 1st Shift position located in San Antonio, TX for Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division. This role oversees the day-to-day operations and is responsible for all aspects of Operations and Account Management. The role includes supervising a team of 120-130 commercial drivers, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, managing dispatch operations, and developing daily load plans.
Responsibilities
- Supervise equipment and driver compliance
- Partner closely with the Operations team to support logistics activities
- Maintain consistent communication with the Shop team to ensure equipment readiness and compliance
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple business groups
- Lead and support a team of 120-130 commercial drivers, ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and strong safety performance
- Manage day-to-day planning and scheduling
- Manage health and safety management
- Comply with state/local/federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- H.S. diploma/GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
- Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
- One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required
- Advanced knowledge of Logistics industry
- Advanced knowledge of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations
- Intermediate knowledge of Supply Chain Management components
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production

Pay
Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
Minimum Pay Range: $68,000
Maximum Pay Range: $71,000
Schedule
Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with flexibility to work additional hours or days if needed to support business needs
