Job Overview
We are seeking a Transportation Maintenance Coordinator to support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our fleet. This role is responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance, managing service records, and ensuring all DOT/FMCSA requirements are met. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working closely with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to keep our transportation operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Cooking and managing preventative maintenance and repair services for Class A and B trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Tracking fuel usage, vendor contracts, and purchased services to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintaining all FMCSA, DOT, local, and company forms, logs, and records to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with transportation departments, drivers, and maintenance vendors to resolve issues quickly.
- Monitoring fleet schedules and assisting with reporting on maintenance status and performance.
- Supporting other transportation-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and fleet compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Able to sit and process data for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in seasonal weather conditions.
- Weekend availability as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience preferred; previous management experience a must.
- Previous CDL license holder is a plus.
- 2+ years in a transportation-related field and duties.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Skills
- Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and fleet compliance requirements.
