About the role
The Logistics Clerk is responsible for real-time analysis, assisting the coordination and balance of Distribution Center Logistics Operations. Monitors and documents all productivity measurements. Supports the Department Managers/Leads to ensure all tasks are ready for the transfer crew. Reports, researches, and resolves issues that occur in the interface between DC Operations and Logistics in a timely manner. Supports Department Managers/Lead to ensure all End of Day (EOD) tasks are completed to ensure preparation tasks are complete for the next shift.
Responsibilities
- Collects and records current DOT/Log data and reports them to the Fleet Operations Managers.
- Maintains and tracks equipment issued as needed.
- Supports reporting, researching, and resolving issues that occur in the daily operations of the transfer of goods in a timely manner.
- Provides administrative support for the Logistics Department.
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all systems.
- Serves as a point of contact for fleet maintenance including in-house and outsourced repairs.
- Serves as a point of contact for yard maintenance to ensure safe operating conditions are maintained.
- Creates routes and Transfer Driver schedules that facilitate the shipment of goods.
- Maintains training logs.
- Manages/coordinates communication with drivers coming into the facility.
- Supports OB Logistics Manager, Fleet Manager, and Driver Manager as needed.
- Performs additional duties as requested.
- May provide routine information and support to less experienced staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Multi-tasking under fast-paced conditions and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of the geographical areas of operation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Ability to handle and perform multiple projects at one time.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to shipping statuses of loads.
Qualifications
- Preferable 1-3 years plus of direct high volume logistics or shipping experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s.
- Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Able to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
- Sit, stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
- Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 15%
- Sitting, desk or phone work: 85%

Pay
Starting hourly pay at $20.00 - $27.00/hour (based on experience).
Schedule
Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed), 10:00pm - 7:00am
