About the role
The Transportation Inspector monitors and inspects transportation services including operators, vehicles, and facilities within assigned territory of the transportation system. They also aid as a liaison between passengers and PDRTA when necessary for community outreach and feedback.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety standards for transportation services
- Inspect transportation operators, vehicles, and facilities
- Aid passengers and PDRTA as needed
Requirements
- Experience as a bus operator, dispatcher, or related field preferred
- Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Pass a DOT pre-employment physical and criminal background check
- SC Commercial Driver’s License Class B with Passenger Endorsement required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three years related experience and/or training
- One year management experience preferred
