By joining our Engineering Support Branch as a Transportation Engineering Branch Manager in Fayette County, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the activities and employees within a highway engineering branch to assure the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet mission is met with construction and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment and implementation of highway engineering programs.
- Plan, assign, supervise, and coordinate the work of professional and technical personnel.
- Supervise and evaluate engineering consultants.
- Assist Chief District Engineer with various federal, state, and local agencies.
Requirements
- Licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
- Four years of engineering experience in addition to that required for licensure as a professional engineer.
- Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment.
- Must be licensed as a professional engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six-month probationary period.
- Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in the office and in the field. Will be exposed to risks inherent to construction sites which require the following of safety procedures.

Pay
Pay Grade 19 | $7,567.64 monthly
