Responsibilities
- Reviews encroachment permit applications for compliance and standards.
- Performs project inspection duties as needed.
- Assists ARME with coordination of inspectors.
- Performs permit project closeout duties.
- Meets with engineers/developers to resolve matters involving encroachment permits.
- Assists in review of damage claims.
- Assists District Permit Engineer (DPE) with permit field assessments and permit project close outs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
- Must possess a motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Physical requirements include:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Travel may be required.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, and kneeling.
- Driving and walking for extended periods.
- Treading rough and uneven terrain.
- Working in close proximity to motoring traffic and natural environmental hazards.
- May work outside normal work schedule, especially during inclement weather or departmental-related emergencies.
- Exposure to outdoor environments in all weather conditions and noise.
