About the role

Burgess & Niple is seeking an entry level Transportation Engineer to join their team in Indianapolis. This position offers opportunities to work with senior-level professionals and collaborate on a variety of transportation design projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in delivering professional transportation design services to a wide variety of clients throughout Indiana
• Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff on solving complex engineering problems
• Develop roadway design layouts, models, plan sheets, cost estimates, and exhibits
• Provide support in roadway drainage design
• Cookinate with other engineering disciplines as needed to deliver projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering
• Engine Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
• Proficiency with Bentley Products (MicroStation, Open Roads) preferred or ability to become proficient with software within 6 months
• Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
