Transportation Driver (Cape Verdean Speaking)

MENTOR Adult Day Health, a member of the Sevita family, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. The program allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active, involved in the community, and continuing to live in their own homes. Staff includes qualified, experienced licensed nurses and caregivers who provide individualized assistance.

Location: Brockton Adult Day Center, 764 N. Main St, Brockton, MA 02301

Responsibilities

• Safely transport participants between their homes, the day center, community programs, and appointments.
• Assist passengers with boarding, securing, and exiting the vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, maintain cleanliness, and report service needs.
• Support day program staff with participant care, activities, meals, and general assistance.
• Help individuals access the day program, appointments, and community while providing dependable transportation and support.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Cape Verdean Creole (required).
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 14‑passenger van/bus or providing passenger transportation.
• Pass required background check and drug screening prior to hire.
• Compassionate, dependable, and a strong communicator.

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Full‑Time | 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. No evenings. No on‑call shifts.
