Transportation Design Engineer

Job Details

Lead or assist with transportation planning and engineering studies on a variety of projects throughout Wisconsin
Prepare environmental and design documentation including report writing
Work on automated highway design covering plan preparation, drainage design, quantity takeoffs, and construction cost estimating
Participate in and/or lead public involvement activities
Assist with project pursuits including proposals, interview support, and estimating level of effort
Serve as a technical resource for project staff and support their professional development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a U.S.-accredited college or university
  • 8+ years of transportation design experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license from the State of Wisconsin — required
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D — required
  • Experience with the WisDOT facilities development process — highly preferred
  • Applicable U.S.-based work experience required
