Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Complete inspection and documentation of a wide variety of construction activities by the contractor confirming all work is being done in accordance with specifications.
  • Review and interpret contract and job specifications
  • Maintain daily paperwork in accordance with clients’ requirements

Requirements

  • Perform math calculations
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Physical requirements
    • Stand for extended periods of time
    • Walk several miles per day
    • Work in the outdoors in various weather conditions
    • Work various shifts including overtime as needed
    • Travel to project sites

Eligibility

  • 2 years minimum transportation, highway or bridge construction experience
  • or 4 years minimum of highway or bridge construction experience
  • or Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Preferred certifications but not required:
    • NICET highway construction level II
    • PennDOT concrete
    • NECEPT bituminous
