Transportation CNA
Providence Living Center in Topeka, KS is looking to hire a part-time Transportation CNA to join our dynamic and caring clinical team.
About the role
As a Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. You will transport clients for scheduled routes and trips, perform routine safety checks and care of vehicles, and maintain a full schedule of all residents' appointments with times and dates. You will transport residents to and from appointments, take notes if accompanying the resident, and document details of each appointment upon return. You must comply with applicable regulations of the GA Dept of Transportation, escort clients to and from vehicles, and follow all applicable laws and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Transport residents to/from appointments and scheduled routes
- Perform routine safety checks and care of vehicles
- Create and maintain a schedule of all residents' appointments with full times and dates
- Take notes of appointment happenings if accompanying the resident
- Document details of each appointment, including time of departure and return
- Comply with GA Dept of Transportation regulations
- Escort clients to and from vehicles
- Read and understand schedules and special trip requests
- Transport groups on assigned trips
- Follow all applicable laws, company procedures, and precautions for weather and road conditions
- Properly restrain wheelchair passengers
- Perform vehicle maintenance and care
Requirements
- Current driver's license with a driving record clear of revocations, suspensions, and cancellations in the past five years
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to pass license check, background check, and drug screen
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
- Must be able to read and write
- Desire to work with the elderly
Schedule
This part-time position works 10 am to 2 pm, typically Monday-Friday, subject to transportation needs.
