Transportation Driver Job Summary: We're seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Driver to join our team at Allure of Stockton. As a key member of our transportation team, you will provide the safe and comfortable transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and private residences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide a high level of customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outingsProvide assistance to residents, including boarding and leaving the bus, securing wheelchairs and walkers, and assistance with groceries and packagesMonitor resident safety at all times, ensuring their well-being while on the bus, during pick-up and drop-off, and at entrance and exit pointsConduct daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanlinessFollow all safety procedures and protocols, reporting hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediatelyCommunicate effectively with the facility regarding schedule progress and receive additional instructionsOperate GPS, Two-Way Radio, and/or Cell Phone to navigate effectivelyMaintain accurate activity and vehicle report logsPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferredActive Illinois Driver's License requiredClass C license with a passenger endorsement for vehicles that transport 15 or more passengersClass E license for vehicles that transport 14 or fewer passengersDOT compliant physicalAnnual physician's statement for drivers between the ages of 71 and 74 who drive vehicles that transport 15 or more passengersExperience as a bus or van driver preferredCNA License PreferredAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writingWriting and computer skills required for completing reports and scheduling Physical Demands: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feetMust be able to push/pull up to 275 pounds to a minimum distance of 50 feetMay be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situationsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderateThe employee is in and out of a vehicle daily and exposed to outdoor weather conditions that varyThe employee is sometimes subject to emotionally upset residents or family members Working Conditions: Hours: Part-timeSalary: $15 - $20 HOURLY If you're a motivated and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
