Transportation Associate

Job Summary The Transportation Associate aids in the coordinating and scheduling of safe transportation of our products, regularly negotiating with, and auditing carriers, and communicating with suppliers. Responsibilities And Duties Coordination with Outbound Trucks and Small Package teams to ensure timely, accurate shipment Freight method confirmation with Sales and Order Management (including revenue driving PPA opportunities)Monitoring SEA inbound shipments through the shipments@sea-wire.com emailMaking sure Data between Piyovi (TMS) and Rubicon (ERP) is accurateFreight invoice auditing, discrepancy resolutions, and payment approvalsFiling and tracking shipment claims, including video and packaging researchManaging carrier relationships and rate negotiationsExport control and employee trainingCross-team communication and report generationImplementation of shipping process improvements /Local shipmentsPackaging standards across shipping commodities and cost savingsFreight shipment entry into Piyovi and customer systemsCommunication with Sales and Freight ForwardersPreparation of international documents (SLI/SEDs)Packaging and damage prevention standardsTransitioning current collect customers to PPA (Prepay and Add)Ongoing projects with automation and proactive shipping strategies Qualifications And Skills High School Diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred. Excellent written and verbal collaboration skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels Physical Requirements Ability to squat, bend, and lift. Can lift 5-15 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
