Transportation Aide (CNA)

Responsibilities

• Confirm and make doctors’ appointments for residents.
• Avoid accidents, moving violations, and failures to appear on your driving record.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.
• Transport residents to appointments, community events, and other necessary locations.
• Notify family of appointment arrangements.
• Perform clerical tasks such as processing administrative transfers and discharges.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents.

Requirements

• Active CNA license.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no more than three (3) entries, counting accidents, moving violations, and failures to appear.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and make independent decisions.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
