About the Role
Majestic Care of Middletown AL is looking for a Transportation Aide to join our team's mission and believe in our core values: Listening, Empathy, Accountability, and Decisiveness (LEAD). Through the hearts of our Care Team Members, we provide excellent healthcare to those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Operate the facility’s vehicle in a safe manner when transporting residents.
- Assist residents when on-boarding and off-boarding the vehicle.
- Ensure the residents’ safe arrival to pre-determined destinations and back to the facility.
- Maintain route and mileage logs.
- Monitor routine vehicle safety conditions including fuel and vital fluid levels.
- Report any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Executive Director immediately.
- Ensure all vehicle passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, prior to moving the van.
- Interact in a positive manner with residents and visitors as a representative of the facility.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Excellent driving record.
- CPR Certified (certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing).
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate current and in good standing (preferred but not required).
