Transport Services Associate - Full Time - Wexford Hospital

About the Role

This position transports patients, medical records, mail, specimens, and equipment/materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility from initial start location to the destination location (70%).
• Delivers equipment/materials and specimens to requesting departments, including use of the pneumatic tube system (20%).
• Serves as a Hospital ambassador, providing information and direction to patients and visitors (5%).
• Ensures transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order (5%).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to maintain the highest measure of confidentiality.
• Good oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills, needed to maintain working relationships with internal and external departments and customers at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in customer service.
• CPR certification.
