About the role

As a Transport Registered Nurse, you will care for high-risk patients and their families in a mobile setting. You are vital in upholding care standards and assisting in neonate and child transport cases. You will follow Physician's directions to stabilize patients before transferring them to specialized care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vital care knowledge to help the team assess patients, stabilize conditions, implement interventions, and communicate effectively with physicians.
  • Take part in trauma team operations and become an energetic member of the Rapid Response Team whenever possible.
  • Contribute to the achievement of personal, departmental and hospital targets by providing innovative ideas, suggestions, and solutions.
  • Participate in ongoing education, team meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and training sessions at department and hospital levels.
  • Participate in the process of developing and verifying patient care standards that apply to those being transported.
  • Assist the Round Rock NICU team and attend deliveries.
  • Attend Ground and Flight transport when required.
  • Transport patients into the BSW system either NICU or Pediatric.

Unit Specifics

  • Will be assisting Round Rock NICU team and attending deliveries.
  • When there is a transport, will attend Ground and Flight transport.
  • Transporting patients into the BSW system either NICU or Pediatric.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • The candidate should possess at least (2) two years of relevant professional experience.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Must have NICU or PICU experience.
  • Transport experience a plus.

Schedule

Full-time, Nights, 7P-7A, (3) 12-hour shifts per week.
