Loads, secures, transports, and delivers, and unloads propane / petroleum to and from specified destinations.
Inspects transport vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
Requires mandatory weekend work.
Safeguards all DOT requirements at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with Haz Mat & Tanker Endorsement
Driving record with under 2 points
Experience driving a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states
Experience loading and unloading cargo
Experience taking orders for new deliveries
Experience filling up on fuel, cleaning truck, and washing windows
Experience reporting to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road
Experience monitoring road conditions and watching for traffic congestion
Experience following all applicable traffic laws
Experience inspecting trailer before and after the trip, and recording any defects found
Experience following accident procedures if an accident occurs
Experience keeping a log of activities
Experience reporting serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
Experience keeping truck and associated equipment clean and in good working order
Experience planning routes using maps or satellite tracking
Experience taking rest periods during trip
Experience transporting hazardous materials
Experience taking special precautions while driving
Experience buying or leasing trucks from other companies
Experience finding and keeping clients
Experience maintaining log of trips
