Responsibilities

  • Operates pumps and valves both on and off the truck and safely fills tanks of all types and sizes using various size hoses, nozzles and fittings.
  • Represents Conrad & Bischoff to our customers, the public and the Trucking Industry in a professional manner always.
  • Coincide with Dispatchers to resolve any issues, problems or concerns that arise in transit or during delivery. Decide and disseminate solutions to meet and satisfy customer needs.
  • Coincide with management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to fulfill customer orders.
  • Maintain a viable relationship with Management, Dispatchers, customers, and fellow employees to ensure customers 'needs are met at all times.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under State and Federal Laws and Regulations.
  • Provide accurate accident, safety and various other related reporting as required.
  • Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods by completing and post safety inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Report vehicle defects, incidents, traffic violations or damage to the trucks, trailers, and/or equipment immediately.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
  • Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
  • Deliver products safely and professionally with exceptional customer service.
  • Load and deliver propane or fuel while following Parkland’s Safety standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHIMIS and required training.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL Tanker, Hazmat endorsements preferred (not required at time of application, but required at time of hire).
  • Current DOT Medical Card required at time of hire.
  • Clean driving record.
  • TWIC preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check.
  • Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Clean Commercial abstract in good standing.
  • Proven track record of safe driving practices.
