Responsibilities
- Serves as the charge person in the absence of the transport supervisor or lead when required.
- Oversees daily cleaning/monitors cleanliness of equipment to assure staff are cleaning equipment appropriately.
- Communicates issues to supervisor / or manager as needed.
- Oversees management of oxygen tanks in the valets and on the floors; assures safe and appropriate storage.
- Manages the equipment repair process to ensure the equipment is being repaired in a timely manner.
- Takes equipment to facilities or biomed; identifies and communicates to the department what the problem is with the equipment.
- Completes biomed or facilities work orders as needed.
- Completes safety occurrence reports when issues arise with equipment failure or issues, i.e., doors not staying open when transporting patients.
- Annual inventory management of equipment; maintains log of number of wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Reviews the needs of clinic areas and inpatient floors to ensure there are adequate amounts of equipment available.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED.
- Full-time Transporter for a minimum of 6 months.
- Dispatch function.
Pay
Salary Range $16.00 - $21.83
Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
