Transport Engineer (Asst. Manager)

Full-time position based anywhere in Bangladesh.

About the role

The transport division of Kazi Farms Group works with skilled resources to serve one of the biggest poultry supply chains and logistics networks in the country. The division uses an ERP-based fleet management system, integrating vehicles, delivery networks, and human resources such as technicians, drivers, and engineers. Vehicles are equipped with smart monitoring systems like GPS and dash cams, along with the latest safety features to prevent road mishaps.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily transport operations to ensure smooth movement of vehicles, goods, and personnel.
• Monitor transport costs and take initiatives to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
• Plan and monitor maintenance, servicing, and repair of fleet vehicles to ensure maximum vehicle availability and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance for vehicle-related issues in coordination with workshop teams and drivers.
• Develop and maintain transport SOPs, safety standards, operational procedures, and performance monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, vehicle documentation, and safety requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders for smooth transport operations and issue resolution.
• Prepare transport-related reports, MIS, and operational updates for management review.
• Lead training and development programs for drivers and mechanics.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile, or Electrical & Electronic Engineering; or Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical or Automobile.
• 5–7 years of experience in transport management and vehicle maintenance, preferably in agro-based firms, engineering firms, group of companies, manufacturing, or transportation sectors.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Age: 30–45 years.
• Gender: Male.
