TRANSPORT DRIVER (FULL TIME)

About the role

Working as a member of the transportation team, this individual will use a company-owned vehicle to deliver products or render services over an established route. Location: Fort Worth ISD, 601 East Northside, Fort Worth, TX 76164. This is a full-time position; Monday through Friday, hours may vary (details upon interview). Responsibilities

• Responds to transport requests with a sense of urgency, meeting time delivery goals
• Follows department protocols using dispatch system appropriately
• Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Completes necessary logs and reports
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Resolves or reports vehicle, building, security, or safety issues to management
• Obtain required delivery signatures/receipts
• Pick up returns, surplus items, furniture, and equipment for repair, redistribution, or disposal
• Complete emergency deliveries as directed
• Perform basic troubleshooting, minor repairs, assembly/disassembly, and preventative maintenance of foodservice and warehouse equipment within assigned training and authorization
• Assist qualified maintenance technicians when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior driving experience required
• Valid driver's license, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills
• Service/Quality focused to meet a wide range of needs
• Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor equipment repairs and preventative maintenance within assigned scope and training

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $16.50 per hour.
