Qualifications
- Maintain a valid Class A – CDL license.
- Avoid more than three moving violations in three years.
- Comply with Department of Transportation guidelines.
- Back trailers in and out of docks.
- Be honest, respectful, calm, and patient.
- Accurately track and record hours and complete driving logs.
- Keep records of fuel and truck repair purchases.
- Show good attendance.
- Be available for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Drive trailer promptly with safety policies in mind.
- Handle product with care during travel.
- Maintain and execute shipping initiatives while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations.
- Complete all required JJ Keller training for transport drivers.
- Pick up and drop off a trailer as directed.
- Ensure delivery of product that maintains its quality and is on time.
- Initiate recovery policies for customer complaints, vehicle accidents, and product shortages.
- Follow Company-wide initiatives including Food Safety, Employee Safety, Food Quality, Priority customer service, and On-time deliveries.
- Provide information to the Warehouse Manager regarding delays, trailer issues, and product problems.
- Maintain necessary licenses, certificates, and physicals.
- Operate at all destinations with safety and quality food top of mind, and achieve delivery goals.
