Transport Aide Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Patient Transport: Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring they are properly secured, comfortable, and attended to during the trip.
• Assist with Mobility: Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and other personal care needs before, during, and after transport.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and patient care policies during transport.
• Collaborate with Nursing Department: On days with no scheduled appointments, you will be given other responsibilities by the Nursing Department, such as assisting with patient care tasks, maintaining patient records, or providing support to other team members as needed.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of transportation schedules, patient status, and any incidents during transport.
• Team Support: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Jersey preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional demeanor.
• Able to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
• Previous experience in healthcare or patient transport is a plus.
