Transplant Surgeon, Department of Surgery (M89475)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounds, clinics, consults, transplant surgeries as primary and assistant surgeon
• Call
• Education
• Quality assurance
• Support the division in teaching responsibilities at VCU Medical Center

Qualifications

• Board certified/board eligible in transplant surgery or equivalent ASTS fellowship training in multi-organ transplantation and procurement
• Able to meet licensing requirements in Virginia, and be UNOS certified or eligible
• Prior experience teaching residents and medical students
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
